Sister Evelyne Franc, who has just completed her first six-year term of office as Superioress General of the Daughters of Charity, has been re-elected for a second term by the members of the General Assembly in Paris.

The election of the Superioress General of the Company was a moment of joy and emotion for all. In the Mother House, time seemed to stand still as everyone waited for the announcement of the result of the voting, the moment when they could congratulate the Sister chosen by the Assembly.

Also elected by the Assembly were the new General Councillors of the Company. The General Council, therefore, now consists of the following:
