On Sunday 26 April 2009 Sr Catherine Prendergast, Provincial, members of the Boards of Management, Principals, staff, pupils and parents were joined by Archbishop Diarmuid Martin as the chief Concelebrant of Mass to mark the occasion of the Golden Jubilee of St Louise's Junior and Senior National Schools, Drumfinn Road, Ballyfermot.

Also in attendance were some people from Ballyfermot who had been present when the sod was turned for the building of the school fifty years ago. This was a source of great joy and pride for all concerned. The celebration was enhanced and enlivened by the participation of the school choir conducted by Sr Cabrini O'Connell. The celebration came to a beautiful conclusion with a liturgical movement set to the music of 'The Weaver' by Liam Lawton.

Following the celebration of the Eucharist all were invited to the school, where a tree-planting ceremony took place and a plaque was unveiled to commemorate the developments of the past fifty years. This led to a great mingling and sharing of memories and stories, during which the jubilee cake was cut and shared.
