‘This course on St. Vincent has taught me about what is behind service and the St. Vincent de Paul Society. I’ve always been involved in service and heard about St. Vincent but the course has taught me about the man himself and the motivation for service. Living in Ireland I feel was an exceptional experience and I am lucky to have had the opportunity to study here.’
Sean Dutch

‘I have known of my university’s St. Vincent de Paul Society for years now. It was not until I took this course however, that I knew how rich a history and global effect Vincent de Paul had on society. I have gained such a tremendous amount of appreciation for a society that not only helps poverty stricken people but does it with an attitude of love. Experiencing first hand, what the Vincentian Family has achieved in other parts of the world like the Rendu Apartments tells me that we as a society are making a difference and I’m proud of that’.
Ivy-Stephanie Polintan

‘I had a wonderful time in Ireland. One of my favourite experiences was when we went on a Paddywagon tour for three days to the south of Ireland. The Cliffs of Moher, Blarney Castle and Galway’s nightlife were amazing. I would definitely come back again! Dublin will be missed!’

Mike Taurisani

‘I truly enjoyed the five weeks I spent in Ireland. Ireland is a beautiful country and the people are very kind. Everyone was friendly and exceptionally helpful at All Hallows College and did their best to ensure that we, the students from St. John’s University, were having a good time’.
